Kara Schmidt

Kara Schmidt graduated from Boston University School of Public Health with her MPH in 2024. Her academic pursuits focused on epidemiology and biostatistics with a concentration in social justice and human rights. As a student, Kara was a 2023 PHP writing fellow and the host of season 4 of PHPod. She is interested in how health is viewed across different cultures and how these views effect policy and programming implementation. She is most passionate about Indigenous rights, and she hopes to continue to research health inequity within Indigenous populations.
