Travis Masterson
Guest AuthorTravis Masterson is an assistant professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences and director of the Health, Ingestive Behavior, and Technology Laboratory at Penn State University. Broadly, Travis’s research is centered on understanding and preventing the development of obesity in both children and adults. He holds a master’s degree in Exercise Science and a PhD in Nutritional Sciences. He completed his postdoctoral training in the Department of Epidemiology at Dartmouth College. His research has previously focused on the effects of food marketing on brain response and food intake in children. He continues to examine the prevalence of food marketing on livestreaming and social media platforms and how they affect eating behaviors.
