Tara D. Warner is an associate professor of criminal justice and an associate director of the Social Science and Justice Research Consortium at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her research examines the consequences of violent victimization, and how victimization fears and status threats shape gun ownership, attitudes, and behaviors.
