Stephanie A. Leonard
Guest AuthorStephanie Leonard, PhD, is an Instructor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine and Research Faculty with the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative. Dr. Leonard’s primary research interest is in applying novel epidemiologic methods to perinatal health and health systems research, with a focus on health equity among birthing people. Since coming to Stanford in 2017, her work has focused on severe pregnancy-related morbidity, contributing to major developments in the understanding of this outcome and its disparities at the population level and methods to improve research in this area.
