Sara Jane Samuel
Guest AuthorSara Jane Samuel is a doctoral student in the Sociomedical Sciences Department (history track) at Columbia University, where she researches the intersection of public health, national security, and American foreign policy. Specifically, Sara’s work examines the use of vaccination campaigns as an instrument of American diplomacy in the latter half of the 20th century. Through her work, she hopes to gain a better understanding of how American power has been deployed using non-violent means to create peace abroad.
