Samuel Trachtman is a PhD candidate in the Charles and Louise Travers Department of Political Science at UC Berkeley. He studies the politics of public policy in the US, with a focus on state politics and policy in the areas of healthcare and climate. His articles have appeared in or are forthcoming in the American Political Science Review, Health Affairs, and Journal of Health Politics, Policy, and Law.
