Guest AuthorRichard W. Robins, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Robins’ research focuses on risk and resilience processes in Mexican-origin families, with an emphasis on drug and alcohol use, mental health problems, antisocial behavior, family stress processes, self-esteem, and adolescent personality development. For the past 10 years, he has served as Director of the California Families Project, a longitudinal study of 674 Mexican-origin families funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the National Institute on Aging.
