Guest AuthorRebecca Fielding-Miller is an assistant professor at the University of California, San Diego, in the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and the Division of Infectious Disease and Global Public Health, and a faculty member of the Center on Gender Equity and Health. Her research is community-driven and examines structural drivers of COVID-19, HIV, and gender based violence in the United States and sub-Saharan Africa with a focus on the intersection of race, gender, and economic inequality.
