Patricia Jewett

Patricia Jewett is a research associate in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. She has one research focus on social and structural root causes of public health outcomes, and another on gun violence prevention. She uses both quantitative and qualitative methods in her research, and closely works with community partners in Minnesota. She is Co-PI on a project to promote out-of-home firearm storage to reduce firearm suicides, which she co-leads with collaborators from Protect Minnesota, a state-based community organization dedicated to curbing firearm-related violence in Minnesota.
