Mohamed Ismail Nounou is an assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ). His current research projects involve performing experiments utilizing both in vitro and in vivo models of the blood-brain barrier and the skin, and the development of smart bioconjugate and nanoparticulate formulations that have the capability of bypassing these barriers. He also has a special interest in the quality of pharmaceuticals, adulteration, and counterfeiting of active pharmaceutical ingredients and ultraceuticals.
