Lauren Gilman
Guest AuthorLauren Gilman, M.A. is a Senior Training and Technical Assistance Associate at EDC. With expertise in social emotional learning, mental health promotion, substance misuse prevention, and cultural responsiveness, Lauren helps community organizations and school districts bridge research and practice, implement and sustain evidence-based programs, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and use data-driven planning to achieve systems change. Lauren provides technical assistance to schools and districts through the Massachusetts Social Emotional Learning and Mental Health Academy, as well as several school-based projects in Indiana. Previously, she has worked as an interpreter with Spanish-speaking immigrants and as a school counselor for high-risk Latino youth. Lauren holds a BA from Swarthmore College and an MA in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University.
