Kendra Sims

Kendra is a recent graduate of the Boston University School of Public Health, and works for the MBTA’s paratransit service the RIDE. Coordinating transportation for the area’s disabled has led her to pursue a PhD this fall of the epidemiology linking mental health to disability and aging outcomes. Kendra has mastered cafe multitasking – writing fiction, Instagramming cat pictures, and reading Tarot cards – all while resteeping her tea.

Lack of uniformity in state or federal laws for crosswalk signal features leaves auditory crosswalks to the discretion of individual municipalities, resulting in inconsistent signals for those who are visually impaired.
