Hyeouk Chris Hahm
Guest AuthorHyeouk Chris Hahm is an Associate Professor and chair of the social research department at Boston University, School of Social Work. As a health services researcher, her research topics include Asian-American women’s health risk behaviors and mental health, and the impact of psychosocial stressors on changes in epigenetic of physical health. She has also been funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and National Science Foundation (NSF) through multiple grants. She created AWARE intervention which is designed to improve well-being among Asian American youths and young adults. Now, AWARE intervention has been implemented in colleges and high schools. She is a recipient of “a research mentor award” at Boston University.
