Gerald R. Nowak III
Guest AuthorGerald R. Nowak III is a third-year PhD student who is currently enrolled in the sociology doctoral program at Michigan State University. He earned his Master of Arts in the field of sociology at Wayne State University. Currently, Gerald serves as the graduate student coordinator for the Family and Population Health Laboratory. As a member of the FPH Lab, he has collaborated with Dr. Hui Liu in the study of mental health matters (e.g., social isolation) that are sometimes associated with aging. For his forthcoming dissertation, Gerald plans to evaluate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the emotional wellbeing of Americans who are at least 65 years of age.
