Guest AuthorDeJah Fleurancois is in her final semester of the Master of Public Health program at Boston University, where she specializes in health policy and law with a contextual focus on maternal and child health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from Howard University, where she developed a strong foundation in maternal and infant health, with a particular interest in lactation. DeJah currently serves as a program assistant at the Institute for Medicaid Innovation, where she supports efforts to advance health equity and improve maternal health outcomes. Passionate about addressing the Black maternal mortality crisis, she is dedicated to closing health equity gaps through policy reform and advocacy.
