De Wet Swanepoel, Ph.D., is professor of audiology University of Pretoria in South Africa, editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Audiology, past-president of the International Society of Audiology and a founder of the hearX group. His research capitalises on information and communication technologies to explore, develop and evaluate innovative solutions to improve hearing care access.
