Cecilia Menjívar
Guest AuthorCecilia Menjívar holds the Dorothy L. Meier Chair in Social Equities and is Professor of Sociology at UCLA. Her research has focused on understanding the effects of immigration law and enforcement strategies on immigrants’ lives, especially on family dynamics and gender relations, and also on patterns of gender-based violence in Central America. Her most recent publication is the co-edited volume, “The Oxford Handbook of Migration Crises” (2019).
