Astha Singhal
Guest AuthorAstha Singhal, BDS, MPH, PhD, is an associate professor at the University of Florida Department of Community Dentistry and Behavioral Science and an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Health Policy & Health Services Research at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She completed her dental school from Manipal University, India, and received her MPH from SUNY Albany. She did her residency in dental public health at the NIDCR, NIH, and received her PhD in health services research from the University of Iowa. Dr. Singhal’s research focuses on oral health policy, Medicaid, and oral health disparities, with a strong emphasis on how state and national policies affect access to care for vulnerable populations. Her work highlights the intersection of oral health and broader health outcomes, particularly for underserved communities.
