Arshag D. Mooradian, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He has published more than 490 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters. His principal area of research interest has been diabetes-related complications. He is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Diabetes Association where he had served as the Chairman of the Council on Nutrition and Metabolism and as the Chairman of the Task Force for Diabetes in the older adults.
