Amber Acquaye is a psychiatry resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She earned her MD from Yale School of Medicine, where she concentrated in medical education and developed an academic portfolio at the intersection of climate change, child mental health, and justice. Dr. Acquaye has published extensively in leading journals, including The Lancet Regional Health – Americas, JAMA Network Open, PLOS Global Public Health, and the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and her work has been presented on international stages from Toronto’s SickKids Hospital to Rio de Janeiro and Paris. Her scholarship bridges empirical bioethics, environmental justice, and youth mental health, with a particular focus on amplifying young people’s voices in climate policy. Beyond research, she has held leadership roles within the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Yale School of Medicine’s Health Equity Thread, reflecting her commitment to justice-centered, developmentally informed approaches to medical education and pediatric mental health.
